The tournament featured excellent rugby for the entire day with good weather, suprising upsets, brilliant runs and another social event for the ages. The Dallas Reds advanced to the Cup semifinals by way of dominating pool play, going undefeated with a 89 point favorable differential. The Semi-final could not have been scripted better as the Reds found themselves seeded against cross-town rivals Dallas Harlequins. A very tight game resulted in a 2 point victory for the Reds to give them the chance to play the Austin Elite in the Finals. Unfortunately, the Reds’ campaign fell a bit short of a story book finish as a crisp and talented Austin secured the Cup. The results put the Reds in First place in the TOLA 7’s Series, even with Texas Tech.

The next tournament for the men in white will be the Lone Star Classic at Lake Highlands Park on June 7th. The tournament has 34 total teams entered and will serve as an excellent test for the First and Second teams.

Anyone wishing to play, please be at the field at 2:00 PM for a 3:00 PM kickoff. This will be a combined team of 2nd and 3rd XV players mostly but anyone wishing to get a run is welcome.

Tuesday and Thursday touch has started at Lake Highlands at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome.

Sevens training has started as well, also Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM at Lake Highlands.
